Even though people floss every day, they don’t necessarily know how to floss properly. You should gently work the floss in between you teeth. When the floss reaches the gum line, floss your teeth in a C-shape. Gently floss your teeth up and down and floss every tooth.

Avoid eating too much candies, acidic or sugared drinks and so called sugar-free gums. Eating excessive food like these will expose your teeth to plague bacteria. Some people brush their teeth immediately after a meal. If you’ve eaten something acidic, your enamel will be weakened by the food acid temporarily. Brushing may aggravate the situation. So you should wait at least 30 minutes.
