Holiday season makes us excited and busy. Since Christmas has gone a few days ago, New Year’s Eve is coming. A party in this special evening will be one of the most anticipated parties of the year, to farewell 2014 and greet a new year – 2015. However, too much parties maybe give you have a ‘financial shortage’, so DIY things can save money and also can be stunning and special home decor at your New Year’s Eve celebration. Here I’d love to give you two DIY things to make your party stunning, you could refer some of the ideas of this article.
Before the DIY things started, you need to think about the theme colors of your party. For me, gold and silver colors which are perfect for parties. Hence, I choose silver color to create a stunning ‘2015’ banner to add some festive flair to the New Year’s Eve party. Prepare the Bristol board, corrugated boxes or large sheets of card stock, pencil, scissors, hot glue and tinsel garland. then, using a pencil draw the outline of the numbers on card stock and cut out the number using scissors, make sure the numbers are at the same size and big enough to attractive the guests. Place a piece of the garland directly over the cut number and cut of a piece of garland that is the exact length needed to cover the number. Depending on the width of the number and the garland you may need to cut several row to fill in the entire number with tinsel. Next place hot glue on all the edges of one of the numbers and place the cut tinsel pieces over the number. Repeat this process with all four numbers. To complete the banner, cut a piece of ribbon and hot glued the ribbon to the back of the four numbers to complete the New Year’s Eve banner.
Decorate a bottle of champagne into a beautiful glitter which is perfect for the party. All you need to make your own is mod podge, glitter and a bottle of champagne and you can create your own with pain brush. Using the paint brush to pain the bottle with the mod podge and pour one color of glitter around the base of the bottle first. Then, pour the other glitter color on the top of the bottle. You can also use only one color of glitter. Next is to give the bottle a slight shake to have the excess glitter fall off, and help some of the top glitter fall down to the middle area where the two glitter colors will mix together, allow the mod podge to dry and your DIY bottle is ready to use.
They are simple to DIY and will become stunning decorations at party.
